Mario Party 9 is the ninth home console installment of the Mario Party series and the second and final installment for the Wii. The game was the first in the series to be developed by Nd Cube instead of Hudson Soft, as a result of the latter's acquisition by Konami. It is also the sixteenth in the series overall. Mario Party 9. For the first time in the Mario Party franchise, each stage culminates in a Boss Battle. Collectively, players must combine their strength to defeat classic foes such as Bowser™ and King Boo while still playing competitively to boost their own individual scores. In another first for the series, players ride across stages together in special vehicles.
